I started with three different images to work with for my vectoring final. The image of me in a slide from the previous post, one of my tractors, and this picture of my friend having fun on a playground. I'm not sure how many hours it took to get it where it is now, but probably close to seven across a couple days. It is really weird to look at the line drawing, and then color and think they are the same thing.

Electric Sheep?
One of my last projects for class was to create a book cover from a small list of books provided by the teacher. We had a week to do it, and the whole time I was going to do Frankenstein, because I thought it would be pretty easy and fun. The day before the project was due I decided I was bored with it, and wasn't coming up with anything very interesting. Needless to say I went with the strangest book in the list I could find: Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?
This book as I found out after a little research was the inspiration for the movie Blade Runner. Now I haven't read the book, but the movie is pretty wild, so I gave it my best weird 80's sci-fi movie interpretation. I think it came out every bit as odd as the movie, and I had a lot of fun making it!
If you've never really payed attention to book covers, you have to design it in a large spread like this. It is one big image split in half with the cover on the right side. The two black areas on the edges are the flaps that fold inside to keep the cover on.

Turkey Week
Its been quite the busy week, and month. It is a little hard to think the last post on here is from Halloween! I just thought I would drop in some of the latest projects from my Graphic Design classes. Time is flying by and there is only 3 weeks left till winter break. Oddly enough, I am looking forward to being able to go to the gym more than anything over the winter break. If there is one thing I hate about school it is how inconsistent it can make your schedule.
This is was a poster assignment for a fictional dance performance with a focus on text. We were also allowed to incorporate image, and we had to create a logo for the company.
